Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7:45am – 4:15pm | Friday: 7:45am – 12:45pm

A well-established precision engineering company is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join its growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a business supplying high-quality components to the aerospace, nuclear and other high-specification engineering industries.

The Role

You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls, producing precision components from one-off prototypes through to medium production batches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set and operate CNC turning machines.
  • Work with Fanuc Oi-TC and I Series controls.
  • Machine a variety of materials including aluminium and stainless steel.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
  • Carry out quality inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Complete production and quality documentation in line with ISO
    9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and housekeeping.
  • Support continuous improvement within the machining department.
Requirements
  • Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc Oi-TC and I Series controls.
  • Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel and similar engineering materials.
  • Manual machining experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to read complex engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances.
  • Competent using micrometers, verniers and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Good understanding of quality systems, ideally ISO
    9001 and/or AS9100.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
