HEC English & Studies Teacher

Position: HEC English & Studies Teacher Role
Become a teacher at Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education, delivering English, Mikmaw Studies, and multiple subjects for grades 8 to 12. This position offers 1.00 FTE, focusing on quality instruction and inclusive education.

The role is open to permanent or surplus teachers from the AVRCE first, followed by term recall teachers and external applicants. You will engage students by leveraging their prior knowledge while implementing proven strategies for effective learning. Continuous professional development and active participation in meetings will be essential components of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality instruction per Nova Scotia guidelines

• Implement tailored learning strategies for students

• Assess and document student progress diligently

• Attend professional development and team meetings

• Maintain accurate records in online systems

Requirements:

• Teaching credential in relevant subjects
