Early Childhood Educator

Become an Early Childhood Educator with Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education at New Minas Elementary School. This term position spans 6 hours daily, focusing on creating an engaging learning environment for preschoolers.

The role involves collaborating with the Lead Early Childhood Educator to support a nurturing environment for young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will implement the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework, ensuring holistic development and well-being of the children. With a focus on play-based and child-centered pedagogy, you will create inclusive early learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Lead Early Childhood Educator in Pre-primary Program

• Implement the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework

• Support children’s development through play-based methods

• Create inclusive learning environments for diverse needs

• Document and assess children’s progress as required

Requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education

• Minimum three years of relevant preschool experience

• Knowledge of child growth and development

• Valid Standard First Aid and Food Handlers Course

• Successful Criminal Record and Child Abuse Checks
