Pre-primary Program Lead Educator

Join Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education as a Lead Early Childhood Educator starting in the  school year. This vital role focuses on collaborative early education and child-centered practices.

You will be responsible for leading the Pre-primary Program Team and ensuring a supportive learning environment for young children. Your experience with diverse cultural backgrounds and developmental needs will be invaluable as you create engaging learning experiences. The position requires you to work closely with educators and families, applying evidence-based practices to foster holistic child development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Pre-primary Program

• Develop and implement engaging educational activities

• Collaborate with Early Childhood Educators and community supports

• Maintain documentation and observation strategies for assessments

• Advocate for inclusive and responsive learning environments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant diploma

• At least 3 years of preschool teaching experience

• Proficient in play-based pedagogical methods

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Certifications in Standard First Aid and Food Handlers Course
