The Clerk’s Office of the Louisiana Supreme Court has an immediate opening for a part-time student worker. The successful candidate must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university (i.e., 12 credit hours for undergraduates) and be able to work approximately 15 hours per week during the school year, with potential for higher hours during school breaks. Hours of operation are 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM weekdays.
Work assignments include telephone coverage, scanning documents, data entry, assistance with various administrative tasks related to legal work, organizing and completing large copy jobs, filing, and other special assignments as needed.
Required skills for this position include, but are not limited to: proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to work independently, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Knowledge and/or experience with databases is also helpful. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.
The position pays $10.00 per hour, with options for paid parking in the French Quarter or a bus pass.
