SummaryThe Supervisor – FF Planning & Strategy (Steel Logistics Operations) position will manage operations related to the new Hyundai Steel Louisiana Plant business, equipment and steel product shipments. This role will develop new business models and routes to meet customer expectations and deliver all shipments on time.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate sales & operations of Hyundai Steel Louisiana Plant
- Deliver all trucks and shipments on time
- Maintain operational standards for customer satisfaction
- Resolve operational issues
- Supervise and assist team members
- Collaborate with other departments for synergy
- Plan, oversee, and coordinate day‑to‑day activities to improve productivity
- Provide customer service and client management
- Develop and review operational policies & procedures
- Set up accounts and systems for Hyundai Steel and new customers
- Negotiate with transportation and service providers
- Analyze data to assess performance and implement process improvements
- Develop SOP for 2PL team
- Track and input delivered data into systems
- Process AR/AP invoices for freight forwarding, data entry, record keeping, month‑end closing, and audits
- Manage related operations in a cost‑effective manner
- Track cost and expenses, service level (delivery time, damages), KPIs, contracts, and cost savings
- Monitor demurrage, detention, and accessorial charges
- Resolve accounting issues and assist team members
- Maintain controls over accounting transactions
- Support Logistics Analyst and team responsibilities
- Implement recommendations to improve team activities
- Provide excellent logistics solutions
- Support administrative tasks and special projects
- Other duties as assigned
$69,000 – $78,000 Per Year (subject to compensation study upon candidate selection)

- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- 5–8 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration (required)
- 6–9 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration (preferred)
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
- Ability to sit in front of a desk or computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hands, grasping, writing, and typing
- Possibility of domestic travel – 15%
- Stand/walk
- Carry/lift up to 15 pounds
The work environment is a typical office setting with low‑level noise exposure. This position is located in the New Orleans, LA office. Communication with employees and field partners is primarily conducted via phone and email.
