About The Position

Hematology and Oncology Locums Physician - Louisiana, Flexible Schedule

Outpatient Hematology and Oncology assignment in New Orleans with temp privileges and 2-week fall blocks still open.

Highlights

• 2-week minimum per month; full-time option available
• Fall and winter blocks still open
• Temp privileges with clean background; start in 30 days
• Only 1-2 locums will split the year-long schedule

Practice Setting

• Outpatient-only cancer center in New Orleans
• 40% Hematology, 60% Oncology mix
• APPs cover inpatient; MDs handle outpatient only
• Primary site is Tuoro; may rotate to nearby second clinic

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm
• Light call, 1:6 weekly rotation
• Blocks preferred; ongoing through the year

Cases and Procedures

• Adults only; no CAR-T or bone marrow transplant
• Average 20 patients per day
• Full-spectrum Hem/Onc

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology, or both
• Active Louisiana license or Open to IMLC Physicians
• BLS, DEA, and recent Epic experience required

Travel Accommodations

• Flights, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursed
