Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in boat building, shipyards, or design offices.
- Proficiency with CAD and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Ship Constructor, Rhino, Solid Works, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with stability analysis and structural design tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiastic about the boat building industry with a hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset.
- Experience in aluminum vessel design and construction.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems integration (propulsion, hydraulics, fuel, etc.).
- Exposure to regulatory compliance (USCG, ABS, Lloyd’s).
- Interest in growing with the company and taking on greater responsibility over time.
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Naval Architect / Marine Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in boat design and construction. The ideal candidate is a young, enthusiastic professional eager to grow in the marine industry and contribute to the design and development of custom aluminum vessels. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and hands‑on involvement in the boat building process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior naval architects and project managers in the design and development of aluminum workboats, ferries, landing craft, and research vessels.
- Create and refine 2D/3D drawings, models, and design packages for production.
- Perform stability analyses, hydrostatics, and structural calculations under guidance.
- Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and operations teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Provide design support during construction, including troubleshooting and field adjustments.
- Research and apply industry standards (ABS, USCG, ISO) to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, documentation, and software workflows.
