AECOM has a thriving, multidisciplinary Water Structural Engineering team in New Orleans and we are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the growing team in our New Orleans office.

AECOM’s Global Water Team is involved in high-profile, industry-leading infrastructure projects in the US and overseas, including projects for Local and National Governments, Water Authorities, and other clients. We work on projects through all stages from feasibility through design, construction, operation, maintenance, and asset management.

• The qualified applicant will demonstrate a combination of responsibilities as a professional or experienced engineer, including:
• Support the Structural Department with the layout and design of hydraulic structures, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and other related structures.
• Perform work with complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
• Independently prepare engineering-related calculations.
• Review work prepared by other engineers within the department.
• Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details.
• Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices; modify guidelines as necessary and apply existing criteria in new ways.
• Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
• Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.

• Minimum Requirements: BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineering (PE) License;
  Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; CAD, REVIT skills; knowledge of computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE or equivalent.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is USD 77,000 to USD 110,000 per year.
