The cardiovascular technologist will carry out the ultrasound protocol procedures outlined in the manual of operations of the studies to obtain ultrasound images and specified measurements of artery and heart structure. He/she will use the equipment, processes and settings which have been vetted by the investigators to obtain clear ultrasound images of the lower extremity artery, brachial artery, and heart. He/she will measure already specified parameters using a specialized computer measurement program provided by the investigators following the study protocol and manual of operations.
He/she will maintain image data and data files of measurements from the study, review the database and report information provided by study investigators in table and/or narrative format as requested by the study investigators.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of subjects and information obtained.
- Ability to work as part of a team and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a Health Sciences field
- Practical experience in echocardiography or ultrasonography
- Master’s degree in a Health Sciences field preferred
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 23.
