Hotel Management of New Orleans is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and energetic Recruiter to join our Human Resources team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
RecruitmentPrimarily responsible for recruitment and onboarding of new employees based on company demand.
Manage and maximize use of all recruiting channels (Paycom, Zip Recruiter, walk-in applicants, job fairs, websites).
Anticipate hiring needs and develop job descriptions and specifications.
Attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
Assess applications and conduct interviews to fill open positions.
Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best match open positions.
Complete paperwork for new hires.
Promote the company’s reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
Maintain open communication with managers to identify vacancies, schedule interviews, and track new employee follow-ups/onboarding reviews.
Provide recruitment reports to team managers.
Manage all onboarding paperwork and processes; complete new hire checklists.
Provide training schedules, follow up with uniform, nametags, bus pass programs, drug tests, background checks.
Add employees to payroll systems.
Report new hires to the Louisiana New Hire Directory.
Stay up-to-date on employment legislation and regulations, and enforce them within the company.
Administer E-Verify pre-employment screening and verify employment eligibility by maintaining current I-9 documents.
Manage offboarding paperwork and processes (Pink 77, termination of benefits).
Develop and execute company policies and procedures with the Director of Human Resources.
Collaborate with department managers to maintain consistent job requirements.
Assist the Human Resources Director with strategic management and employee relations programs for retention.
Prepare reports as needed by the Director of Human Resources.
Conduct employment verifications and referrals.
Keep personnel files up-to-date for all three companies, including licenses and permits.
Support the Human Resources Director in reporting and computer functions.
