We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and provide excellent care to our patients. As an LPN, you will be part of a team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of care. Your primary role is to provide basic nursing care and assist with patient care activities, including monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, providing treatments, and educating patients and families.
Job Responsibilities- Assess patient health issues and provide appropriate care and advice
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Administer medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Collect patient health histories
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Monitor and order medical supplies and medications
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of an accredited LPN program
- 1–2 years of hospital or clinic experience preferred
- Demonstrate compassionate care and a positive attitude
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to administer medications and treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work with a variety of patients
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Current Louisiana LPN license required
- Current CPR certification required
