You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production.

• Review final inspection or critical features
• Review of Final inspection sign-off sheet
• Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects
• Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent
• Assure products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing, and of acceptable contour and waviness
• Assure products are of good workmanship and within specified workmanship standards (e.g., oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts, scratches, dings, burrs, fastener edge distance, etc.)
• Verify all visible part finishes, paint, and skin quality are acceptable to required visual standards.
• Verify hardware cleanliness and absence of internal or external foreign object debris.
• Verify fasteners are properly installed; assure torque stripe is continuous from head to the surface and of correct color.
• Verify applicable First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements have been completed, traceability of supporting records, documentation of results and overall compliance.
• Verify shipping documentation is legible and includes correct identification (part number, serial number), configuration change letter, PD line item/quantity/change letter, shipping destination, etc.

• Proven experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in aerospace or a related field
• Strong knowledge of inspection methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be willing to undergo background check

Hourly rate for any travel time (i.e. "p2p")

Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($0.655 per mile driven). Untaxed.
