DescriptionPostdoctoral fellow positions are available in Dr. Srikanta Dash’s laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine to work in a project that involves the development of liver cancer mouse models of viral (hepatitis C virus infection) and non-viral metabolic liver diseases with diabetes. Duties required are to maintain an accurate record of daily experiments performed in the laboratory and utilize strong possess strong written and oral communication skills and strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
QualificationsCandidates should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree with experience in hepatitis C and liver cancer research. A strong record of peer-reviewed publications with at least one first-author paper published in high-impact journals in related fields is essential. Candidates should have an excellent work ethic, initiative, and time management skills, be well-organized and self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently, publish findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and collaborate with other team members.
Candidates should have research experience and a strong research background in at least one of the following areas:
Virology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, and cell signaling.
