Overview
Lab Research Technician (Part-time) at Tulane University. The position involves development of biological and clinical databases, defining and validating data analysis systems, reviewing and maintaining data management documentation, producing status reports for sponsors, and resolving discrepancies in data validation and reports. The role also supports grant and paper writing, program design and implementation, compliance, and grant reporting. The position is NIH-funded with opportunities to collaborate across Tulane School of Sciences and Engineering, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and School of Medicine.

Responsibilities- Develop and maintain biological and clinical databases
- Define and validate data analysis systems
- Review and maintain data management project documentation
- Produce status reports for sponsors
- Resolve discrepancies in data validation and reports
- Assist in grant and paper writing, program design and implementation, compliance and grant reporting
- Good command of written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to work within a team and support junior staff
- Familiarity with data analysis software
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of directly related work experience
- Proficient in using computers with knowledge of software programs and web design/maintenance
- Knowledge of biology and genomics is desirable but not required
- Experience in scientific paper writing, data analysis and grant management
