Immediate Openings - Journeyman & Apprentice Plumbers (Slidell, LA - Locals Only)

United Trades of America is hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Plumbers for immediate work on a commercial project located in Slidell, Louisiana. We're looking for local talent-reliable individuals who are ready to hit the ground running and take pride in their work.

This is a local-only position. There is no per diem offered for this project, so candidates must be based within commuting distance of Slidell.

Pay Rates:

• Journeyman Plumbers: $25 - $28/hour (based on experience)

• Apprentice Plumbers: $20 - $25/hour (based on experience)

• Start Date: ASAP

This is a full-time role on a busy commercial site. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety procedures, and complete high-quality plumbing installations.

Who We're Looking For:

We need Journeyman Plumbers who are confident in reading blueprints, leading installations, and working with minimal supervision. Apprentice Plumbers should have basic knowledge of plumbing systems and be ready to learn on the job while assisting journeymen with materials, prep, and site support.

Job Duties Will Include:

• Installing and repairing commercial plumbing systems

• Working with various pipe materials including PVC, PEX, copper, and cast iron

• Cutting, threading, and assembling pipe using proper tools and methods

• Assisting with layout and installation based on prints and specifications

• Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite

• Following all OSHA and safety guidelines on site

Requirements:

• Prior commercial plumbing experience required (minimum 1 year for apprentices)

• Journeymen must be able to read blueprints and lead tasks independently

• Reliable transportation is required - job is in Slidell, LA

• Must have own hand tools and PPE

• Must be able to pass a drug screen

• OSHA certification is a plus but not mandatory
