* Primary Responsibilities:

*** Sets up, programs, and runs test lab equipment
* Designs tests to ensure customer specifications are met
* Trains employees to perform tests and ensures compliance to retraining schedule
* Provides feedback to Program Engineering, R&D Engineering, and Advanced Engineering on tests requested
* Performs failure analysis on tests that do not pass test specifications
* Troubleshoots lab equipment failures and helps to resolve issues quickly
* Prepares test reports for external and internal customers
* Provides feedback on test results to external customers and is available to attend customer meetings
* Works with Lab Technicians with a goal of minimizing LTR’s past due
* Ensures the accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes
* Must operate in a manner that reinforces, supports, and is consistent with the Cooper Standard Leadership Model
* Ensures 6S, housekeeping, and health & safety standards are maintained
* Contracting, scheduling, and supervising tests with sub-contracting facilities
* May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description
** Education and

Qualifications:

*** Four Year College or University Degree or equivalent
* Two to four years of relevant work experience
* Fabrication, blueprint reading skills, and equipment knowledge preferred
* Knowledge of statistics
* Strong mechanical aptitude, as well as technical and analytical problem-solving skills
* Skills or working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
* Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others in a team environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established alternatives
* Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided; follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance
* Exchanges information and seeks understanding
* Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
