American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with skilled home care experience and OASIS training to provide in-home patient care across medical-surgical and high-risk diagnoses.

• Provides skilled home health visits for patients with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
• Caseload includes 6-8 skilled home visits per day
• Day shift schedules vary and may include 8a-5p or 9a-6p, Thursday-Monday or Friday-Tuesday rotations, and alternating weekend shifts
• Self-scheduling of visits and hours based on the needs of the Home Care office
• Uses Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation systems
• Provided with laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printer for field work

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health care experience required (private duty nursing experience alone not accepted)
• OASIS training and experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, wound care, and general medical diagnoses required
• Experience managing high-risk diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke required
• Post-operative care experience required
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for home visits
• Cerner experience preferred

• Performs cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound vac dressings, and Pleurx/Aseptdrain care
• Manages foley catheter changes, staple/suture removal, and glucometer and pro-time machine use
• Administers SQ/IM injections, performs venipuncture lab draws, and provides PICC line or midline care and dressing changes
• Performs SQ port access/deaccess as part of patient care
• Must wear solid color scrubs
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file
• Must have flu shot or declination on file; mandatory mask wearing required at all times while at work if declined
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Former Bay Care employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
