The Staff Accountant reports to the VP of Accounting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability and financial reporting, conduct research and analysis of expenses.

• Assist VP of Accounting in the month-end closing and financial reporting
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Review and process credit card expenses, including coding expenses and researching charges
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Maintain operating lease agreements for equipment, etc.
• Verify and reconcile vendor contracts
• Assist in special projects as necessary

Experience: At least 1-3 years' experience in accounting.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Other Abilities:

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail and good record keeping
• Proficient in Excel
