Overview
Atlantic Health is seeking for a reliable, motivated and team-oriented individual to join our outpatient rehabilitation site located in New Providence, NJ. This is a full time and benefitted position that includes Medical, Paid Time Off, and Tuition Reimbursement, among other perks at Atlantic Health. The Medical Office Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients by providing efficient front desk operations, exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clinical team.
It is strongly preferred that the candidate has medical office experience, as the position includes:
- Completes check-in processes
- Assists patients with appointment scheduling adhering to rehab guidelines
- Runs appointment estimates and collects co-pays and up front balances
- Monitors online appointment portal and responds to patient requests
- Addresses EPIC work queues and maintains them in good standing
- Manages departmental phone lines
- Makes confirmation calls
- Orders office supplies, business cards
- Delivers excellent customer service
- Provides administrative support to clinical and management team members
- Completes and adheres to all AH and AR role specific mandatory trainings, guidelines and policies
- Reports facility issues
- Assists with insurance responsibilities
- Maintains proper and timely communication with team members and leadership team
- Performs other administrative tasks as needed
- Assists with training
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Customer service experience is STRONGLY preferred
- Medical Experience with strong knowledge in EPIC
- Bilingual (Spanish)
