Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Pediatric department to provide compassionate, high‑quality care to children and families within our physician‑led, patient‑centric network. This role supports the delivery of integrated, value‑based care across traditional practices, virtual services, and urgent care settings.
- Assist physicians and staff with daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
- Act as liaison among patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring efficient patient flow.
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of licensure and SMG policy.
- Collect and accurately label lab specimens, prioritize orders, and administer injections per protocol.
- Document vital signs, medication orders, allergies, and patient assessments in the EHR.
- Perform telephone triage and schedule appointments accurately per department guidelines.
- Maintain universal safety precautions during medication administration and dispose of medical waste properly.
- Update medication lists and enter orders in the practice management system and EHR.
- Facilitate referrals and consult orders in a timely manner.
- Conduct emergency equipment checks and coordinate transitions of care to UCC/hospital settings.
- Provide training and support to staff on equipment use and troubleshooting.
- Assist in ordering and maintaining supplies as assigned.
- Demonstrate flexibility with various work schedules.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Push, pull, and lift heavy objects, carts, or supplies.
- Maintain mobility and agility to move around the facility.
- Use hand dexterity while performing patient care procedures.
- Maintain balance during climbing, bending, and reaching activities.
- Endure continuous standing, bending, and walking to support patient care.
- Chemicals, chemotherapy agents, and fumes.
- Loud noise and vibration.
- Extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
- Allergens such as dust, mold, or pollen.
- Magnetic fields and radiation.
- Sharps, latex, and potential for combative patients or visitors.
- Risk of exposure to infectious hazards and bodily fluids.
- Potential contact with patients or patient specimens.
- Unplanned or unexpected exposures.
- Associate’s degree required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - New Jersey State Nursing License and BLS certification required.
- 0–1 year of experience preferred; 2–4 years preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and EHR/Practice Management Systems.
- Experience with patient care equipment and office technology.
- Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.
