CNC Machinist - Programmer - Mill; 2nd Shift

At this location in Oldsmar, FL, we design and manufacture packaging machines for food and a broad spectrum of products. In addition, we build complete line solutions and provide comprehensive after sales services.

The facility includes engineering, manufacturing, assembly, R&D/testing lab, management, sales & marketing, administration and service.

SUMMARY: The CNC Machinist has a wide range of responsibilities, including and not limited to cost effective machine set‑up procedures and proper tool selection, shares programming responsibilities and directly reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This is a climate-controlled shop.

• Perform set‑up and run various CNC machines to assure consistent flow of work through the shop.
• Assist in designing, developing, cataloging, and maintaining tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process.
• Develop and maintain part programs as necessary.
• Support new employees in proper machining techniques.
• Program machinery using Mastercam.

This is a 2nd Shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) primarily operating Haas and Doosan CNC mills.

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years machine shop experience.
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience with CNC programming including experience using Mastercam, with ability to program/edit, set‑up and run machinery to specified tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand tooling requirements.

• Strong understanding of machine shop operations, machine set‑up procedures and a working knowledge of different materials and tooling available.
• Capable of developing fixtures and tooling for specific uses in machine set‑up.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and part‑programming software.
