This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. Chief Administration Office (CAO) Technology is the dedicated technology team supporting Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resiliency, Privacy, CAO Data and Insights technology needs.

Within COO Technology we are seeking a Lead Building Management Systems (BMS) Tech Engineer to join the CAO Technology team to support Corporate Properties Group (CPG) aligned to CAO. This role will design, configure, support and perform engineering solutions on operational and building management systems, computer hardware, software, and networking tools to meet the organization's needs.  In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives, including company wide programs with broad organizational impact

Lead and contribute to the development of engineering standards, architectural patterns, and company wide best practices for building management and operational technology solutions

Lead the design, evaluation, and resolution of complex enterprise challenges by delivering scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions

Perform hands-on engineering work, including designing, configuring, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting solutions across the building management technology portfolio

Design and configure BMS systems, RESTful APIs, and services that enable secure and scalable integrations between enterprise, SaaS, endpoint, and external partner platforms

Engineer and support network connectivity, integration services, data movement solutions, transformations, and reliable delivery patterns across platforms

Review and analyze complex BMS technology solutions in support of strategic and operational business objectives, considering architecture, integration, resiliency, security, and operational requirements

Design and implement solutions that align with enterprise cybersecurity requirements and operational technology security standards

Assess, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, products, and automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reporting capabilities

Drive resiliency, observability, monitoring, and operational support practices for building technology platforms and integrations

Support product lifecycle planning, upgrade strategies, firmware management, vulnerability remediation, and technology modernization initiatives

Provide technical leadership across building management platforms including Niagara, Desigo, Eco Struxure, Lutron, and related technologies

Lead projects, technical work streams, and product ownership activities, including design reviews, device and firmware evaluations, and mentoring engineers on engineering best practices

Serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert to leadership, architects, engineers, system administrators, vendors, and business partners to resolve complex technical and platform challenges

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of hands-on BMS (Building Management Systems) technology experience

5+ Years of financial services industry experience3+ Years of experience designing & engineering Enterprise Class BMS environments3+ years of experience designing & engineering cloud solutions for BMS endpoint management5+ years of BMS end-to-end architecture experience with wired communication protocols like BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, etc. and wireless communication protocols like LoRAwan, Zigbee, etc.
5+ years of experience working with BMS device inventory, discovery, vulnerability management and remediation process, understanding and troubleshooting Network issues across the geographies and varying physical and logical separated network architecture5+ years of hands-on configuration experience with BMS system and data integration solutions, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event based and REST…
