Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Remote | Permanent | $150,000–$200,000 base salary + annual bonus and full benefits

I’m recruiting for a Sr. Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join an established automation team and help shape automation across cloud, virtualized, and physical server environments.

This role combines hands-on Terraform and Ansible engineering with ownership of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle automation. You’ll influence technical decisions and build reusable solutions that improve how infrastructure is deployed and maintained.

What you’ll work on

• Build and improve reusable Terraform modules, Ansible roles, and automation workflows.
• Automate server provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management across Windows/Linux environments.
• Help evolve cloud automation across AWS and Alibaba Cloud, alongside VMware and physical infrastructure.
• Improve testing, drift detection, and change controls to make infrastructure delivery faster and more reliable.

What you’ll bring

• Deep, hands-on production experience with both Terraform and Ansible

• Strong infrastructure knowledge gained through systems, cloud, virtualization, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience directly managing and troubleshooting Windows or Linux server environments.
• A solid understanding of provisioning, configuration management, patching, and server lifecycle processes.
• Scripting skills in Power Shell, Python, or Bash, along with Git-based workflows.
• The ability to make technical design decisions and turn manual processes into reliable, maintainable automation.
