ICU Nurse, RN Nurse
This travel assignment is for an ICU Registered Nurse who will provide care for critically ill patients while serving as a charge nurse. The role includes managing patients requiring telemetry, ventilators, arterial lines, and vasopressors, with diagnoses ranging from alcohol withdrawal and diabetic keto acidosis to medical, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and general surgery cases. Pediatric experience in an emergency or medical-surgical setting is required, as the assignment includes working with infants and children.
The small ICU is supported by two critical care nurses, and the non-charge nurse may work in the ICU or medical-surgical unit based on census. Expect three 12-hour night shifts each week and every-third-weekend coverage.
New Ulm typically offers crisp, cool conditions around this time of year, with comfortable daytime temperatures, cooler evenings, and a mix of sunshine and cloud cover. Pack layers for changing temperatures and occasional brisk winds.
