Senior Electro-Mechanical Reliability Technician

Make Every Second-Shift Count in New Ulm, MNStep onto the plant floor in New Ulm and own the reliability of the systems that keep production moving. As a senior-level electro-mechanical technician, you’ll perform advanced diagnostics, hands-on repairs, and preventive/predictive work that protects uptime and elevates performance. This is a full-time, onsite second-shift role.

What a typical second shift can look like Review CMMS tickets, align on priorities with production, and plan parts/tools for the evening.

Make plant rounds and operational checks, including water treatment and refrigeration systems.

Tackle scheduled PMs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assets.

Jump on unexpected breakdowns, rapidly diagnose root cause, and restore equipment safely.

Capture work performed and parts used in the CMMS before shift-end handoff.

Spot reliability opportunities and suggest improvements to reduce recurring failures.

Your core impact

Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on multi-craft systems (mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic).Rapidly diagnose and correct equipment failures to minimize downtime.

Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance programs that maximize asset reliability.

Conduct inspections, rounds, and operational checks (e.g., water treatment, refrigeration systems).Maintain precise records of parts consumption and work history in the CMMS.Work safely, always—adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

What you bring

Technical diploma (Mechanical/Electrical or related) preferred.
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in manufacturing.

Expert troubleshooting and sound problem-solving judgment.

Comfort with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.

Working knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.

Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.

Compensation and benefits

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $ per  addition to base salary, we also offer a comprehensive total rewards package, inclusive of annual incentive pay, a retirement savings plan, health care coverage, paid time off, recognition programs and a broad range of other benefits.
