Part-Time Accountant-Brooklyn

Small CPA office looking for a paid part-time accountant to start immediately. The candidate should be an accounting graduate with a minimum of two years of experience.

• Part-time Accounting for approx 15-20 hours per week
• Central Flatbush location
• Possibility to lead to a full-time position

• Accounting graduate
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Computer literate (Proficient in installation & networking preferred)
• Detail oriented
• Attention to accuracy
• Ability to properly organize and prioritize tasks
• Maintain the highest degree of client confidentiality and professional standards

• Write up clients' records in Quick Books
• Reconcile clients' bank accounts to bank statements
• Prepare adjusting journal entries and post to the general ledger
• Prepare Partnership, Corporation & Individual tax returns
• Maintain the computer network and scan clients' documents
• Assist with day-to-day operations

• You’ll get hands‑on supervised practical experience from a CPA
• Receive work credit toward the CPA license
• Understand how local businessmen conduct business
• Gain knowledge and skills for future professional pursuits
