Our client is looking to fill the role of Director of SEC Reporting. The Director of SEC Reporting will propose, prepare and administer all corporate-wide financial policies and procedures, and will provide technical accounting research and analysis for the company. This position will provide training to the Finance team on new accounting pronouncements and will advise financial management regarding compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.

Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively research, communicate and draft correspondence on new or existing accounting related issues and standards.
  • Communicate to key senior management members and accounting staff on new rules and regulations on Accounting and SEC filings.
  • Manage and prepare all financial SEC filings and coordinate with departments and external auditors to ensure accuracy and timely filings on 10-K, 10-Q, S-3, S-4, 8-K.
  • Work closely with legal counsel on SEC registration statements and other SEC correspondence.
  • Prepare cash flow statements, balance sheets, stockholders statements and calculation of earnings per share on a quarterly basis.
  • Oversee the quarterly stock-based compensation calculation under FAS 123(R) including reconciliations, journal entries and disclosure.
  • Assist with purchase accounting and related analyses along with SEC reporting pertaining to acquisitions.
  • Provide support and work with Sarbanes-Oxley team to maintain and review internal control documentation to ensure compliance of controls around the reporting area.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of internal controls upon adoption of new accounting standards as required.
  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by auditors.
  • Actively participate in special projects and other reporting needs as required by IFRS.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of work experience in public accounting.
  • CPA required.
