Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and accurate billing operations for our organization. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has experience with Sage accounting software, and possesses a strong understanding of billing processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage routine billing tasks to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

- Generate and distribute billing statements to clients or departments as required.

- Monitor and manage billing collections to ensure payments are received on schedule.

- Maintain and update billing systems with current and accurate information.

- Utilize Sage accounting software to support billing operations.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing processes.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with organizational billing policies.

- Prepare and analyze billing reports to assist in financial planning and audits.

- Communicate with clients or stakeholders regarding billing inquiries and concerns. Requirements - Proven experience in a billing role, preferably within a nonprofit or similar organization.

- Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data.

- Solid understanding of billing systems and processes.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

- Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies independently.

- Familiarity with generating financial reports and summaries.
