Accounting Generalist Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Generalist Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills in financial operations and contribute to the success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing various accounting tasks and ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.

Responsibilities:

- Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure proper balancing.

- Handle accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices and managing vendor payments.

- Manage accounts receivable operations, such as tracking customer payments and addressing discrepancies.

- Accurately input data into accounting systems to maintain up-to-date financial information.

- Process invoices efficiently and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues related to accounting workflows.

- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.

- Generate and review financial reports to support decision-making processes.

- Assist in streamlining accounting procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in account reconciliation and maintaining financial accuracy.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

- Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and related accounting practices.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting regulations.

- Competency in using accounting software and tools for daily operations.
