Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an Entry Level Accountant to provide hands-on support to the finance team during a busy tax season period. This long-term contract opportunity is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a mix of accounting coordination and administrative tasks. The position offers exposure to day-to-day financial operations while working with internal partners and external contacts in a detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

- Support tax season workflows by preparing documents, organizing financial information, and assisting the accounting team with time-sensitive tasks.

- Distribute account statements to designated recipients with accuracy and care.

- Reconcile credit card activity by reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, and helping maintain accurate records.

- Enter accounting codes and update financial data to keep records complete, organized, and current.

- Assist with accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments and handling related administrative follow-up.

- Carry out a range of clerical and operational accounting duties to help maintain efficient daily finance operations. Requirements - Experience or foundational knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting support.

- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes, including credit card and bank reconciliations.

- Ability to prepare and record accounting entries with strong attention to detail.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple administrative and finance-related tasks.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.

- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and working carefully with financial data.
