the Job

The Capital Development Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting our team and senior leadership on business development and fundraising initiatives, enabling a robust sales intelligence and research process for expansion strategies, manage relationships with current and prospective investors, and serve as an analytical partner across the organization.

This role involves preparing reports, analyzing data, coordinating investor communications, and supporting fundraising and investor engagement activities. You will also help drive analytical rigor for managing and monitoring our portfolio of 60+ healthcare businesses and will support Redesign and operating company CEOs in structuring investments and commercial partnerships.

In this role, you will report to Redesign’s Head of Capital Development. This is a highly visible and cross‑functional role, in which you will interact closely with the entire Strategy & Finance and portfolio management organizations, as well as operating company CEOs and Redesign investors.

What you’ll do:

Investor Relations Support:
  • Assist in the development and execution of the firm’s investor relations strategy.
  • Own the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, investor presentations, and newsletters.
  • Manage and maintain investor relations databases (Allvue, Affinity, Canva) and ensure accuracy and completeness of all information.
  • Make recommendations on changes to existing Investor Relations processes and systems to improve team efficiency and quality of information shared with LPs.
  • Coordinate and attend investor meetings, calls, and events.
  • Respond to IR inbox requests in a timely and professional manner, looping in the appropriate internal team members as needed and taking accountability for quality responses.
LP Reporting and Company Valuation
  • Prepare reports on company and fund performance, financial and valuation models, and benchmarking analyses for investors.
  • Provide analytical support on company cap tables, including waterfall analysis, understanding of preferred vs. common equity and related terms, and performance metrics (MOIC, DPI, IRR).
  • Lead valuation process with leadership committee, following valuation policies and procedures to calibrate fair market values reported to investors on a quarterly and ad hoc basis.
  • Assume ownership of key finance/fundraising work streams, including portfolio reporting and the production of compelling investor materials.
Marketing & Fundraising Support:
  • Drive the preparation of marketing materials for prospective investors.
  • Support the execution of fundraising campaigns and capital‑raising initiatives, including market mapping, prospecting lists, and standard DDQ items.
  • Track investor pipeline activity in Redesign’s CRM and provide regular updates and insights to senior management.
