Areas of Responsibility andJob Requirements
Processes of all collections and deposits. Move out of tenants in Yardi and communication with tenants and condo owners to resolve billing and payment issues.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Handle the posting of resident, condo owners, commercial, community room and non‑tenant payments and deposit funds into the bank.
- Post all Section 8 (HAP) check payments into the system and deposit funds into the bank. Post all Section 8 (HAP) payments via wires.
- Process tenants move out from the system and refund security deposit or apply security deposit to arrears and/or transfer security deposit funds to the operating account.
- Process tenant move‑ins and initial billing.
- Perform landlord verifications.
- Perform security deposit reconciliation and transfer security deposit payments from operating account to security deposit account.
- Respond to tenant billing inquiry and be able to return tenants and condo owner telephone calls daily.
- Process laundry tenant move‑in and laundry payment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- LIHTC certification, preferred.
- TaCC certification, preferred.
- 2+ years of comparable experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Excel, MS Office and general computer and office skills are required.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with Yardi or similar industry‑related software is preferred.
- Ability to speak Spanish, preferred.
This position consists mainly of light physical work. The position may require exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The role involves sitting most of the time.
The incumbent is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned or to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, reviewing data, viewing computer screens for extended periods of time, extensive reading, etc.
- This role frequently requires the incumbent to grasp, engage in repetitive movements with the wrist, hands, and fingers, typing for an extended period of time.
- The role also requires incumbent to talk and hear, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work and the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound.
The incumbent may occasionally be subject to noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the noise.
