• Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities.
• Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• 5 years’ experience in construction inspection of mechanical/HVAC work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA/NYCT, NJ Transit, NYCDDC, NYCSCA.
• NFPA Fire Protection System Certification and ICC M2 Mechanical Inspector Certification.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• PE license in New York or New Jersey.
• OSHA 30-hour training.
• Experience with vertical transportation systems.
• Preference given to local candidates.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successfully passing drug‑screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
