One of our clients is looking for an experienced Superintendent – Civil Construction (Concrete) to oversee and manage large-scale concrete construction projects in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all on-site concrete construction activities while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site concrete construction activities.
- Oversee all phases of concrete construction, including foundations, slabs, walls, structural concrete, and finishing.
- Develop daily and weekly work plans and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials.
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure productivity, quality, and compliance with project schedules.
- Ensure proper installation of formwork, reinforcement, embedded items, and concrete placement.
- Monitor project progress and resolve field issues as they arise.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Manage quality control, inspections, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in concrete construction.
- At least 3 years of experience in a superintendent or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming systems, reinforcement, concrete placement, and finishing techniques.
- Experience managing large-scale commercial or civil concrete construction projects is strongly preferred.
- OSHA Certification required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and maintain project schedules.
