Harper’s Bazaar is seeking a Senior Social Media Editor to lead our presence across social platforms with authority, creativity, and cultural fluency. This is a unique opportunity to shape the brand’s voice where fashion, celebrity, and culture collide in real time—elevating Bazaar’s iconic legacy into dynamic digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
  • Develop and execute a platform‐specific social strategy that reflects Bazaar’s luxury sensibility and editorial voice.
  • Plan, produce, and publish daily content across Instagram, Tik Tok, X, Threads, and Facebook.
  • Translate editorial features, fashion stories, and cover moments into high‑impact digital content.
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize content for reach, engagement, and growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to ideate and manage partnerships, influencer initiatives, and paid campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of emerging platform trends and innovations to keep Bazaar’s presence culturally relevant.
  • Serve as the brand’s on‑the‑ground social lead at Fashion Weeks, events, and other key moments.
  • Maintain excellence in visual and editorial quality across all published content.
Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)
  • 6+ years managing social media for a fashion, lifestyle, or media brand.
  • Demonstrated experience producing social‑native video and tailoring content per platform.
  • Skilled in analytics tools (Dash Hudson, True Anthem, Parse.ly) and scheduling platforms (Meta Suite, Sprout, Later).
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional editorial judgment, copywriting skills, and strong visual eye.
  • Adept at multitasking and managing deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative, communicative, and highly adaptable.
  • Deep understanding of the luxury fashion and pop culture landscape.
  • Hybrid role based in New York City; in‑office presence required 4 days a week.

The base salary for this role is between $74,000 - $89,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
