Position: PT Reporter, Sunday
Job Description :

The New York Post is seeking a Part-Time Reporter to join our Sunday team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career journalist with strong writing skills, curiosity, and a sharp eye for what makes a good story. You'll help contribute to one of the most widely read print editions in the country and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover assigned stories and conduct interviews
• Pitch interesting, relevant, and creative stories for our Sunday paper and Saturday web coverage
• Rewrite and update existing stories as needed
• Aggregate breaking news and trending topics from trusted sources
• Write clean, engaging copy for both print and digital
• Work collaboratively with editors and other reporters to develop strong story ideas
• Stay on top of news developments and flag timely angles

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of reporting or newsroom experience preferred (internships count)
• A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Strong writing and research skills
• Ability to work on deadline and adapt quickly to breaking news
• Comfortable covering a range of topics, from news and politics to entertainment
• A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Passion for journalism and the fast-moving media world

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour
