The Dental Assistant works directly with the Dentist and assists with patient care and throughput. Performs duties and responsibilities that directly and indirectly involve patient care. Other clinical and patient care duties as assigned. Will be expected to provide support to other clinics if needed.

• Will be expected to provide support to other clinics if needed.
• Will assist Dentists in the performance of procedures on patients.
• Takes and develops dental x-rays, follows Montefiore’s infection control and documentation guidelines.
• Must be able to support at nearby Montefiore dental clinics as needed.
• Will participate in sterilization protocols and responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Ability to provide rotating weekend coverage based on operational need is a MUST.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of Dental Assistant experience Required.
• BLS Required.
• Formal Dental Assistant training or certification Preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred.
