At Rho, product design is central to transforming how businesses manage their financial operations. We are hiring a Principal Product Designer to lead a best-in-class user experience and elevate the role of design at Rho.

This is a senior individual contributor role with broad, strategic influence. You’ll partner closely with Rho’s executive and technical leadership to define and drive our product design vision. As Principal Designer, you’ll be hands-on in shaping core experiences that feel effortless, intuitive, and as purpose-driven as the founders we serve. If you're an experienced designer who consistently delivers product impact—or a design lead ready to go deep on craft—this is an opportunity to meaningfully evolve how Rho looks and feels to founders.

Reporting directly to our Head of Product, you’ll be a key voice at the table as we scale. Your work will directly shape how Rho becomes the platform founders trust from launch to IPO.

• Define and lead the strategic vision for design at Rho—across core products and workflows—with a focus on simplicity, clarity, and usability.

• Deliver hands-on product design work across high-priority areas, setting a high bar for quality and execution.

• Drive the evolution of Rho’s design systems and elevate design standards across surfaces, flows, and platforms.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, PMs, and engineers to shape product strategy and deliver exceptional user experiences.

• Champion a design culture grounded in craft, systems thinking, and user-centered decision-making.

• Help level up other designers through feedback, critique, and thought partnership.

• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and growing the design team, while preparing to potentially move into a formal leadership role over time.

• 8+ years of experience in product design; fintech or adjacent industry experience a plus.

• Strong portfolio of work demonstrating high-quality design outcomes in complex product environments.

• Visionary design sense with deep systems thinking and a strong bias toward execution.

• Track record of influencing product direction through thoughtful design and collaborative leadership.

• Experience scaling design systems and creating cohesive experiences across multiple surfaces or product lines.

• Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to advocate for design decisions with technical and business stakeholders.

• Passion for creating beautiful, intuitive products that solve real business problems.

• Alignment with Rho’s mission and excitement to raise the bar on B2B product design.

Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $170,000-$275,000. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off.
