An Academic Hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

Syracuse, New York is centrally located in the heart of New York State. Here youll enjoy exploring the scenic outdoor parks, fantastic food scene, and year-round festivals.

This position is a full-time role, offering 40 hours per week with the option of 410 or 58 shifts, but candidates must be willing to work four weeks each month. The contract has been approved with the state for one year, with a one-year renewal option, allowing for a potential total of two years. No call is required. Pediatric experience is a plus but not required, and there are no cardiac or neuro cases.

Daily cases are variable and include general, trauma, endo, GI, EP, and MR/CT procedures. Lunch is a 30-minute unpaid break, and the EMR used is EPIC. CRNAs work 100% hands-on under a supervision model (2:1 ratio) with 13 main ORs and two ASCs (four ORs each). The team consists of 30 MDs and 17 CRNAs.
