Are you ready to take on a leadership role that makes a real difference? The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx is looking for a passionate and experienced Chief to guide our dedicated group of board-certified physicians. This is your chance to oversee advanced clinical programs and services while making a significant impact on a diverse patient population.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Chief, you will:
- Lead a talented team of 18 board-certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians across two hospitals.
- Manage a variety of services, including:
- 12-bed MICUs and an 8-bed step-down unit.
- Active ECMO Program (V-A & V-V).
- Advanced Bronchoscopy Suite featuring the Ion Robot.
- Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Biopsy Program.
- Cutting-edge Lung Cancer Screening Program.
- Dedicated Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and Pulmonary Hypertension (PHT) Clinics.
- Vibrant Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Program.
- Modern Outpatient Procedure Area.
- Provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across inpatient and outpatient services.
- Oversee faculty development, recruitment, and retention.
- Promote excellence in clinical outcomes and patient safety.
- Drive educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. - Lead Team-Based Care in both Jacobi and North Central Bronx Medical Intensive Care Units.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership in hospital-based or academic settings.
- Proven success in clinical program development and quality improvement.
- A passion for serving underserved communities.
- A track record of mentoring and academic engagement.
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:
- Annual Base Salary: $342,000* based on a 40-hour work week.
- Total estimated compensation package: $416,200** , including:
- Projected bonus of up to $40,000 based on quality and productivity targets.
- 401(k) Company Contribution with immediate vesting.
