We're thrilled to launch our first‑ever Zeta High School class of 9th graders in the 2026‑27 school year, located at 1080 St. Nicholas Avenue in Upper Manhattan. This exciting milestone marks the next chapter in our mission to provide world‑class education from pre‑kindergarten through high school. We currently operate multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, and plan to open 1–2 new schools each year—because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education.

To achieve our vision, we are searching for an Associate Dean of Students with a Bachelor's degree
, 3‑5+ years of experience teaching and leading teams to excellent student outcomes, and who are fueled by a passion for their team's success and continual improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Build a joyful, disciplined, and inclusive school culture among leaders, teachers, students, and families—one that combines high expectations with care, belonging, and student agency.
  • Foster authentic, meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff—being present, visible, approachable, and proactive in engaging our community.
  • Set and uphold a standard for excellence in student life, behavior, and attendance, ensuring that all students meet our expectations for perseverance, respect, community, and readiness for college and life.
  • Manage student outcomes using a data‑driven approach—tracking key indicators (behavior incidents, attendance, engagement, student voice), identifying trends, and working with teams to intervene and accelerate student growth.
  • Coach and develop staff teams (advisors, student support) to deliver exceptional classroom community, and culture leadership.
  • Analyze culture, climate, and student experience data across the high school, and execute plans that leverage leadership teams, teachers, student leaders, and families to improve student well‑being, belonging, engagement, and outcomes.
  • Model and maintain a culture of problem‑solving, ownership, and deep investment in student experiences—acting as a role model for consistency, responsiveness, and proactive leadership in student support.
  • Collaborate as a founding leader to build the systems, routines, and structures (advisory program, student voice structures, restorative practices, attendance protocols, transitions, closure routines) that will define our high school experience at Zeta.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $125,000. New hires can expect to be brought into the organization at a salary at or near the start of the range, depending on relevant experience. Compensation is based on our salary scales. This position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary, merit‑based performance bonus.
