Preschool Lead Teacher (Early Childhood Education) - Upper West Side, NYC

Pay: $23-$26 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

About the Role

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is hiring an experienced and motivated Preschool Lead Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom in a high-quality early childhood education setting. Our school offers a structured, play-based environment where children build confidence, independence, and foundational learning skills.

This position is ideal for an educator with a background in Early Childhood Education who enjoys leading a classroom, mentoring teammates, and partnering with families.

What You'll Do

* Lead daily classroom operations for a preschool/2s classroom in a safe and engaging environment

* Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons using The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum

* Support children's social-emotional growth, language development, and early learning milestones

* Communicate consistently with families regarding progress, routines, and classroom activities

* Collaborate with assistant teachers to maintain structure, consistency, and positive classroom culture

* Ensure compliance with NYC childcare regulations and center safety standards

Qualifications

* BA or AA in Early Childhood Education OR currently enrolled and actively working toward completion

* Minimum 6 months of professional experience in a preschool or childcare classroom

* Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)

* CPR/First Aid certification preferred

* Must meet all NYC and New York State childcare licensing requirements
