Location:

Pay: $23-$26 per hour (based on education & experience)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday-Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience - Upper West Side is seeking a warm, skilled, and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center provides a joyful, structured, and hands-on learning environment where children explore, grow, and thrive.

If you are pursuing or have completed a BA or AA in Early Childhood Education, or are actively working toward your credential, this is an excellent opportunity to continue your professional growth in a supportive, high-quality preschool setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage a preschool classroom that supports social, emotional, academic, and physical development.

* Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum using play-based and developmentally appropriate practices.

* Build strong relationships with families through daily communication, progress updates, and engagement.

* Collaborate with assistant teachers to maintain consistency, structure, and a positive classroom culture.

* Ensure compliance with NYC childcare regulations and center safety standards.

* Model professionalism, teamwork, and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

* BA or AA in Early Childhood Education, or currently enrolled and working toward completion (required).

* Minimum 6 months of professional childcare or preschool teaching experience.

* Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).

* CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

* Must meet all NYC and state childcare licensing requirements.
