- Assist in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
- Perform field tasks including drilling oversight and construction observations, with most work focused in the NY/NJ area.
- Occasional travel outside NY/NJ may be expected to help assist project demands in other areas.
- Assist in performing geotechnical calculations and analysis for small- and large-scale projects.
- Assist in preparation of geotechnical reports, calculation packages, drawings, and specifications.
- Have some familiarity with geotechnical software including LPILE, ALPILE, GROUP, SHAFT, Geo Studio, Settle3, and Deep Ex.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and be willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; master’s degree with a geotechnical emphasis preferred.
- Three years of work experience.
- EIT certification, or current registration for the FE exam. Candidates hired without an EIT will be titled "Geotechnical Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Willingness and ability to go to the field as needed.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Geo Studio, ESoft APILE, LPILE, GROUP, and Settle3 preferred.
- Local candidate preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience with MS Office and software applications.
