Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

The Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining technical accounting standards, and driving process improvements across the organization. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with various stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while driving transparent and insightful reporting.

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements
• Lead the readiness efforts for the production of financial information in compliance with SEC regulations
• Manage the external audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditors
• Participate in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting deliverables
• Review and analyze complex accounting transactions, providing technical guidance to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions and emerging accounting issues
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Implement new accounting standards and guide the organization through accounting changes
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including to ensure alignment of financial reporting processes
• Manage special projects and initiatives as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, financial services experience a plus
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with financial services products and related accounting treatment
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to absorb and communicate complex technical matters to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
