Director of Finance (M&A & Investor Relations) rid role – 3 days per week in New York City office, remote remainder of time.
Responsibilities- Provide financial modelling and decision support for M&A transactions.
- Prepare quarterly earnings calls: Q&A, scripts, and ad‑hoc updates.
- Coordinate investor one‑on‑one calls, pre‑collect questions, and prepare talking points.
- Understand the 5‑year plan, annual budget, and external guidance to support investor relations and board preparation.
- Support board deck preparation.
- Track cost‑saving initiatives and ensure proper accounting.
- Provide ad‑hoc support to CFO on day‑to‑day priorities.
- Develop relationships with cross‑functional partners and within Finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of finance experience in consumer products or broader industrial sectors.
- Experience in a publicly‑held finance organization, with proven ability to understand profitability drivers and deliver results.
- Background in investment banking or consulting increases strength.
- Functional expertise in financial planning.
- Track record as a strong advisor to business partners, evaluating strategy and decisions.
- Enterprise thinker, exceptional problem‑solver, highly collaborative, and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Metrics‑driven, excellent Excel modelling skills, and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Positive energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, confidence, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Base pay range: $170,000 – $210,000 per year. Eligible for short‑term incentives and total compensation package. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), 3 weeks vacation, paid holidays, and flexible spending accounts.
