Senior Fund Accountant

We are currently partnered with a growing equity multi-strat hedge fund based in New York City. Due to continued firm growth and fund performance they are looking to bring on a lead fund accounting hire to work directly with leadership with a clear pathway for growth and promotion.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage the monthly and quarterly NAV process with fund administrators.
• Oversee the general ledger, fee calculations (management/performance for the fund and Portfolio Managers), and financial statement preparation.
• Maintain and reconcile books and records.
• Review and implement internal financial controls and risk management procedures.
• Manage capital activities in and out of the fund.
• Coordinate closely with tax and legal and operations teams.
• Monitor and reconcile daily trade activity, cash movements, and position balances across custodians, prime brokers, and administrators.
• Support the investment team with pre- and post-trade operational workflows.
• Collaborate with technology providers to improve systems and automation.
• Work closely with compliance, trading, and risk on the above functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of experience across hedge fund, asset management, or fund administrators
• CPA or CFA designation a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Proficiency in Advent Geneva
