About The Position

The Tax Manager specializing in the Consumer Products Group will lead the tax team in providing comprehensive tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to clients within the consumer products industry. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of tax regulations and their implications for the consumer products industry. The Tax Manager will work closely with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities within the consumer products industry.
  • Ensure all tax filings are accurate, timely, and comply with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance and organization of tax records and documentation.
  • Lead tax planning initiatives and provide strategic tax advisory services to clients in the consumer products industry.
  • Identify and implement tax‑saving opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Understand clients' business operations, industry‑specific challenges, and strategic goals to deliver tailored tax advice.
  • Communicate complex tax issues and updates to clients clearly and effectively.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax staff, providing guidance and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team environment.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and contribute to the development of the tax team's technical skills and expertise.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations impacting the consumer products industry.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities.
  • Develop and share best practices and innovative tax strategies within the tax department.
  • Develop and implement efficient tax processes and procedures to enhance accuracy and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage tax project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
Qualifications Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in tax, with a focus on consumer products industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation

Competitive annual salary in the range of $140,000 to $180,000 based on individual’s experience level.
