Our client is seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst to drive innovative research and modeling efforts across risk, pricing, and portfolio analytics. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, balancing rigorous analysis with practical application in production systems. This is a hybrid position based in New York City, NY.

Starting at $200,000/year.

Quantitative Research Analyst's Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Conduct quantitative research across risk, pricing, and portfolio analytics.
  • Prototype, test, and integrate new quantitative methodologies into production systems.
  • Collaborate with technology and risk teams to ensure efficient and robust model implementation.
  • Manipulate, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights.
  • Develop research tools, dashboards, and visualization capabilities to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to process automation and scalable analytical solutions.
Quantitative Research Analyst's Qualifications and Skills:
  • At least 2 years of experience in quantitative research, risk modeling, or financial engineering.
  • Advanced degree in Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with C# or similar languages is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of financial instruments (bonds, derivatives, options, etc.) and quantitative finance concepts.
  • Familiarity with data analysis libraries (Num Py, Pandas, Sci Py) and version control systems (Git).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across research, technology, and risk teams.
